Apple iPhone SE: Different in Almost Every Way

Experts are very surprised to hear that Apple will be releasing a new model right at the end of this month. If you’re an iPhone fan, you must have already noticed that the latest iPhone model is normally released every Fall. However, as of this time, iPhone SE, the company’s latest phone is released this Spring.

If you think that’s the only difference, you’re downright wrong. Aside from its release date, the iPhone SE has a big difference with the previous iPhones. Unlike the iPhone 6 and 6s series models which have a 4.7-inch display, the iPhone SE has a 4-inch one just like the early iPhone models. Most people think that this is just an iPhone 6 inside a 5S body, which is another wrong concept.

The iPhone SE’s key features include an Apple A9 64-bit processor, an M9 motion co-processor, Near-Field Communication, Apple Pay support, Touch ID Fingerprint scanner and a faster 4G LTE with 802.11ac compatibility. Aside from having $399 price for 16GB and $499 for 64GB versions, the iPhone SE will become available in 110 countries by the end of May this year.

The truth is, the reason behind this model release is that the iPhone 6 and 6s sales aren’t that impressive due to the fact that most people still prefer the 4-inch models. Since Apple plans to reach out for more potential customers in both Chinese and Indian markets, whose countries are the two most populated in this world, they must somehow adjust to those markets’ demand for smaller and more affordable iPhones. In addition to that problem, Tim Cook, Apple CEO revealed that around sixty percent of iPhone users don’t upgrade or buy the 6 and 6s models.
