All in govt. job : UPSC CPF (AC) Examination 2014

UPSC released the much awaited notification to fill the 136 posts through the CAPF exam. UPSC is the shorter form of Union Public Service Commission and CAPF is the shorter form of Central Armed Police Forces.

UPSC conducts the CAPF exam every year to fill the vacancies in different central police forces like BSF (Border Security Force), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), CISF (Central Industrial Police Force) etc. In the present year, out of 136 vacancies, 68 are under BSF, 28 are under CRPF and 40 are under CISF. This exam is very prestigious and the numbers of aspirants appearing in this exam will be in lakhs. It is a national level exam and positions starts from Assistant Commandant.

It is one of the toughest exams conducted by UPSC and candidates who had prepared really well can only qualify this exam. Eligible candidates may directly go to the www.upsc.gov.in website and apply for these posts directly. Candidates must not be younger than 20 years and must not be older than 25 years i.e. he/she must have born in between 02-08-1989 and 01-08-1994. The upper age limit relaxations will apply according to the government norms (5 years for SC/ST/Civilian Central Government Servants, 3 years for OBC).  Last date to apply for CAPF exam is 12-05-2014. Candidates need to pay Rs.200/- via SBI net banking or by depositing 200 in the form of DD in SBI branches. Candidates who possess any bachelor degree from a university recognised by the Government of India are qualified to apply for these posts.

The examination procedure is simple. Candidates who are qualified are notified by UPSC to write the entrance exam which will consist of two papers. First Paper is objective type and candidate’s knowledge on Indian Geography, Polity, Economy, History etc. will be tested. Second paper will be descriptive in nature and it will test the candidates essay writing abilities and English Knowledge. Candidates who had gone through the written test will qualify for Physical Eligible Test. Candidates who got qualified in PET will be called for Interview. After the Interview, final list of candidates who got selected will be revealed.
