BARC is the shorter form of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. It is a central government owned organisation which is known for its research in the nuclear field all over the world.
It research fields include but not limited to heavy and light reactors, Thorium based AHWRs, medical research, Life management and post eradication of nuclear and reactor fuels etc. This itself shows how crucial BARC is in the development of our nation. Recently BARC released a notification to fill 11 vacancies. Those who had completed their Diploma is eligible for applying to these posts and they play a key role in research as these posts are Scientific Assistants. BARC is expecting candidates who possess Diploma/Licentiate in Civil Engineering with 60% of marks. The upper age limit for the vacancies is 30 years and the relaxations apply to different categories according to the government prescribed norms.
The selection process is very simple. After scrutinizing the applications, BARC will call the candidates who are eligible for the screening test. After the screening test there will be a formal interview after which the results will be declared. The pay scale of this job is Rs.9300-34800/- with a grade pay of 4200/-.
