The Indian armed forces do have doctors who are appointed. Now the doctors vary from general physicians to specialty. There is always a requirement for dentists for which the armed force does recruit by giving proper dentists an opportunity to get into the armed force if they are interested. There are certain criteria that needs to be met by the candidates who want to apply for the post. First and foremost the candidate should be BDS/MDS with minimum 55% marks in the final year of BDS from a college or university recognized by dental council of India. He or she should have completed on year rotatory internship recognized by dental council of India. The candidate should possess permanent dental registration certificate valid till 31 December 2014. The age limit is less than 45 years of age.
The pay scale will be 15600-39100 and will be granted the rank of captain.
There is a particular mode of selection which is candidates found eligible will be short-listed based on their final year BDS marks and short-listed candidates will be called for interview. Once the interview and selection is over, the candidates will be send for medical check up to check their medical fitness. The decision of the medical board will be final.
