Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a passed Matriculation certificate for being eligible to apply.
Age: Candidates with their birth dates lying between 01 Aug 1994 to 31 Jul 1997, inclusive of both dates can only apply.
Mode of Selection: Selection on Merit basis/ is based on the order of their performance in Musical Screening Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Fitness in Medical Examinations.
Musical Ability: Candidates applying must have basic knowledge in Theory of Music, proficiency in western notation and aural aptitude. Must have practical skills on any of the following – western classical or wind / percussion Instrument. Key-board, String, Brass, Woodwind and Percussion Instruments both of Indian and Western Origin are types of Instruments on which proficiency is required.
