Recently, University of Hyderabad released a notification (2014) to fill vacancies under the School of Medical Sciences. In this notification 3 vacancies are there out of which two are unreserved and one is reserved for OBC category. These vacancies are for faculty and note that these positions are temporary.
Asst. Professor (Nursing):- Those who had completed M.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate are eligible to apply for this post. Additional to the degree, at least three years of teaching and clinical experience is mandatory. Only one post is available and that is in the unreserved category.
Asst. Professor (Optometry and Vision Science):- In this category, two posts are available out of which one is reserved for OBC category and the other one is unreserved. Those who did their M.Sc. or M.Phil or PH.D. in Optometry with an aggregate of 55% are eligible to apply for this post. Consistent academic records, three years of experience in clinical trainig and teaching is must.
Those who are interested to apply for these posts, have to remember some important points.
- Along with the above qualifications, a good and consistent educational record is must i.e. candidates must possess at least 50% marks in their graduation also.
- Usually the tenure of these posts is less than six months. But based on the recruitment there are chances of reappointment.
- The scale of pay will be based on the 6th pay scales of UGC. A basic of Rs. 15,600 /- + other allowances will be given for the selected candidates.

From the applications, qualified persons will be called for interview. Based on the performance in the interview the selection will take place (No Travelling Allowance will be given). The selected candidates must be ready to join within a week after the selection.
