TNEA 2014 for Anna University

Anna University is known for its academic record all over India. It is a reputed university with highly successful academic record. TNEA is the shorter form of TamilNadu Engineering Admissions after 10+2, one need to go through these guidelines as per the specified procedure which is being followed for years. In the TNEA notification only, university itself gives detailed information on different programmes like admission details, eligibility criteria, application procedures, seat allotment etc. You can even go through the previous year notification and the seat allotment results to get a better idea.

Unlike many universities, Anna university does not give engineering admissions based on the performance of an entrance exam. In fact, there is no entrance exam for engineering admissions especially to the Anna University. To become eligible for TNEA 2014 one must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and he must also have Chemistry, Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects. The marks of 11th, 12th classes are taken into consideration and shortlisted candidates are prepared for allotting the seats. Four parameters play a crucial role in TENA 2014. Age of the candidate (based on DOB on his 10th class certificate), Percentage of marks in Maths and Physics in 10th,11th and 12th are the two importantparameters. The marks of the 4th optional subject in 11th and 12th classes and the community to which he belongs to also play a crucial role in the admission process.

For TNEA, candidates can apply online or download the application form and send it to the concerned authorities. One need to pay INR500 (250 for SC/ST candidates) though DD, net-banking or by using VISA/Master cards. In general, the sale of application prospectus for admissions starts in first week of April and the last date for receipt of eligible applications will be Mid May. By Mid June Anna University publishes the results and the courses will commence from June2014.
