Outline of Eligibility and Requirements
- Must have achieved and passed the following educational qualifications:
- Intermediate or an equivalent Examination (with Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry subjects)
- Higher Secondary 10+ 2 (with Mathematics and Physics / Chemistry subjects)
- 1st Year Examination under 3-year University degree course; or the first examination of the 3-year diploma course in Rural Service of the National Council for Rural Higher education or any of its equivalents.
- 1st or 2nd Division of Pre-Engineering Examination of a university or credited board
- 1st or 2nd Division of Pre-Professional/ Pre-Technological Exam of any university or credited board (with Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry subjects
- 1st year examination under the 5-year Engineering Degree Course of a university
- 1st or 2nd Division of Pre- Degree Examination of the Universities of Kerala and Calicut (with Mathematics and Physics/Chemistry subjects)
- Must be 17 to 21 years old as on January 1, 2015.
- Must pay the application fee of Rs. 100 thru the following:
- Deposit in any Branch of SBI by cash or net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore
- Using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card

Mechanics of the Examination
- The Examination shall be conducted according to the following plan.
- Part I:General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test) – Given Time: 2 Hours
- Paper-II : Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry)– Given Time: 2 Hours
- Paper-III: Mathematics– Given Time: 2 Hours
