Akshay Kumar will be seen in his upcoming film Gabbar which will be directed by Krish and the producers of the film are Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film will see Akshay Kumar and Shruti Hassan in the lead roles. Besides actors like Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood and Sunil Grover will also be seen playing some prominent roles in the flick. Successful actress Kareena Kapoor is expected to play a cameo in the movie. Sajid-Wajid will be composing the soundtrack and the film score. Shooting for Gabbar will start in the early 2014 and will be released worldwide on 25 December of the same year. Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar is an official remake of 2002 movie Ramana. This film was critically acclaimed and won the hearts of thousands. Ramana had Vijaykanth in the lead role and was directed by Tamil A. R. Murugadoss. The remake of original was done in Telugu as Tagore with famous actor Chiranjeevi in the leading role and then again in Kannada where it was named as Vishnu Sena. This movie had Vishnuvardhan playing as the major role.
In movie Gabbar Akshay Kumar playing the role of Gabbar Singh Rajput creates his own vigilante military network by the name of ACF which does the work of eliminating the corrupt individuals in a very organized way. Slowly when the pressure starts building on the system to find the one behind these killings then is the time Balbir Singh (Sonu Sood) enters the movie. He is the one who will head this task of searching the real culprit. During the course he is assisted by Suryam (Paraksh Raj) who plays the constable in Gabbar and is forced to see what is going around. He basically plays the antagonist in Gabbar.
