Kate Winslet will be honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame and for attending the event she arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday through a flight. Kate who has become new mum recently was dressed in her post-partum figure in tight Koral jeans as she walked through the airport corridors talking on her mobile phone.
Her appearance at the airport was the first time when she was seen in public post giving birth to her third child, Bear. This is her first baby with her husband Ned Rocknroll and was born in December. The English actress will be presented with the award on St Patrick’s Day with the patron saint of Ireland’s holiday which happens to be one of the famous events on the US calendar.
The Oscar-winning film Titanic, released in 1997 made Kate Winslet a star overnight where she played the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater. Besides she will be saluted by director James Cameron and her old friend and her co-star Kathy Bates as well. But unfortunately Leonardo DiCaprio will not be making to the event.
Walk of Fame ceremonies producer told media-persons that they feel glad that Kate Winslet is being honored with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in famous Boulevard and she is well-deserving of this honor. She added, “We’ve seen Kate shine in her roles and fans around the world have been anxiously waiting for this special day to come.”
Although her famous role in The Reader could not bring her an Oscar, she managed to get The Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in 2008.
