How to make Pumpkin Bread at home – 3 steps

It’s Halloween and pumpkins are in!  It’s not a secret that pumpkins seem to abound mushroom-like during Halloween, thus the use of jack-o’ lanterns.  So how do we use the pumpkin flesh that we get out of those shells?  There’s no need for not-so-personalized overrated candies for the kids who will go trick-or-treat.  Give them something they wouldn’t miss the next time they knock on your door next Halloween.  Treat them with sumptuous pumpkin bread! Here’s what you are going to do:

Prepare the following ingredients for our pumpkin bread:

  • 1 ¾ cups      all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. cloves
  • ¼ tsp. ginger
  • ½ cup           softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • ¾ cup           pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

 

  • Prepare materials as well
  • 9×5 inch loaf pan
  • 2 Big bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Decorative wrappers

 

 

Commence cooking!

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 180°C) and grease your 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a big mixing bowl, put together the dry ingredients and spices such as flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, garlic cloves and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, vanilla and butter.
  4. Bring in your electric mixer and mix in the flour mixture in a low speed. Next, pour in the pumpkin mixture into the flour mix and continue mixing it.
  5. Transfer batter into the loaf pan and put into the preheated oven. Bake for an hour.
  6. Let it cool a little and prepare your pumpkin bread into desired cuts. You can wrap them up for the kids who go trick-o-treat.
