Acer Iconia One 8 – Specifications, Price and Release

Acer brings its own tablet model during their New York press event alongside the much anticipated smartphone dubbed as Liquid X2.  Acer Iconia One 8 may not be aligned among the high-end sets of slates out there. With a mere tag price of $149, it is affordable for the budget-conscious crowd.  Obviously, Acer’s selling point is its very tempting down-to-earth price.

Of course, one of the downsides of having such price is the device’s unordinary specifications and look.  Nothing’s extraordinary when it comes even for the exterior features of Iconia One 8.  Generic-looking and houses equally mediocre hardware, but at least you get to choose from the pastel colored casings for minimal customized appeal. Plus, it can accommodate options of Acer Accurate Stylus or 2mm pencil for doodling and handwriting.

Features include an 8-inch IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution that uses Zero Air Gap technology.  Under the hood, you get to see a quadcore Intel Atom chipset capable of clocking at 1.38GHz.  Also, there’s the 1GB of RAM, native storage of 16GB (or an option of 32GB) and the newest Android Lollipop for an OS.

We can expect Acer Iconia One 8 to hit the shelves by July this year.
