This may be the first time for you to hear the French brand for a smartphone, but Archos is a reputable brand name in its own homeland and some parts of the European continent. The French brand has released its flagship in the body of Archos 50 Diamond. While the name bears the idea of big sum of money, you may find their bargain appealing due to the fact that Archos 50 Diamond is a model of great specs but bears a reasonable tag price of €250.
Gracing the front of Archos 50 Diamond is the 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD accompanied by 8-megapixel front snapper located beside the speaker. Performance-wise, the maker endowed the handset with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with dual Cortex-A53 quad-core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz and 1.0 GHz. The processor is accompanied by Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and Vanilla Android 4.4.4 Kitkat sans the bloatware.
At the flipside, you can find the 16MP AF camera with LED flash which is capable of 1080p@30fps video capture. Energy source comes from a 2,700 mAh juicer which—unfortunately—is non-removable in nature.
You may find the French smartphone a little bit off compared to the gigantic flagships of 2015, but rest assured that it provides an upper midrange service for mere 250 euros.
