Best Tablets for 2015 (First Semester)

We are done and through with the first half of the year 2015. As part of our first semester wrap-up, we came up with the list of the finest tablets the world has ever known.  Sadly, we only came up with two slates capable of entertaining and being a reliable personal/ office partner.

We can blame several factors affecting the slow rise and innovation to this area of gadgetry.  First, is its diminutive cousin, the smartphone.  The rise for the demand for phablets (form of enlarged smartphones) comes steady; thus, curtails the development meant for tablets.  Finding ourselves still fortunate, two tablets come out with notable specifications.

Microsoft Surface 3

The 10.8-ich slate is powered with Windows 8.1 OS that can be updated into Windows 10 very soon.  Its screen display sports 1920 x 1280 Full HD Plus resolution with aspect ratio of 3:2, making it more workable via vertical display. Under the hood, you get Intel’s Atom x7-Z8700 quad-core processor; and selection of 64GB ROM and 2GB RAM or 128GB ROM with 4GB RAM.  For snappers, it has 8MP and 3.5MP sensors for primary and front cams, respectively.  Price starts at rather hefty price of $499.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

Arguably, this tablet goes at the top of the mountain of slates ready to lure you with function and style.  The 6.1mm-thin, 10.1-inch slate is one of the best in town and there’s no arguing at this point.  Packed with Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, Android Lollipop 5.0 and the tandem of 8MP & 5MP snappers, who begs to differ of the claim? Besides, the 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution screen does great for graphical experience.

While the Xperia Z4 Tablet is one great slate, it is not altogether perfect, of course.  With the limited 6000mAH juicer and the $600+ sticker price, it has still the capacity to raise some eyebrows. All in all, this one.
