The 2015 Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Spain is fast approaching and Gionee has secured its presentation slot on March 2. Upon its presentation, Gionee is expected to officially launch its supermodel, Elife S7. We can clearly remember Gionee for its Elife S5.1, the smartphone that made it to the Guiness as the thinnest smartphone just last October, 2014. However, when asked if the Chinese manufacturer would go for such feat again, the Head of Global Marketing, Oliver Sha, has confirmed that they have dropped such endeavor for the convenience of the consumer themselves.
Despite the statement of Gionee’s head of global marketing himself, everybody is anticipating the appearance of the Elife S7, hoping to confirm the whispers about the model being the next thinnest in the planet. Just recently, a 5-picture set of leaked photos about Elife S7 has been going on about. As many suggested before the leaked photos, the model could have had 7mm (or 0.28 inch) thinness. Apparently, the 7mm stat is yet thick as the info (along with the snaps) covered an anorexic 4.6mm (0.181 inch) frame! Yes, we know that it’s really a heart-stopper but until MWC trade show next month, let us save our heart beats, okay?
Given that this one juicy tidbid suggests truth about Gionee Elife S7, we just hope that the company’s technology had came up with enough breathing space to avoid issues such as overheating and device protection. Having a slim frame has its perks but of course, by the end of the day, handlers would still want a fully functioning device.
