After almost half a year of since it was released, Gionee Marathon M5 will soon have its Plus sibling gracing the glass shelves of the stores. According to a poster-teaser by the Chinese smartphone maker, the marked date is on December 21 and the event will take place in their country. No further details were given by Gionee this time, but maybe we can get some cues to M5 Plus’ specs.
The release of the Plus M5 variant may be a sure surprise most especially to some areas. For instance, Marathon M5 has just been put into sale in India last week. Yup, it’s the handset with dual battery system, packing up a hefty total of 6020 mAh that could last for about 4-5 days. If our speculations are correct, the Plus size would pack even a beefier juicer.
Currently, Marathon M5 offers a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen display handset stuffed with MediaTek quadcore processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB/ 3GB of RAM, 16GB/ 32GB native storage. Although in India, the 3GB variant is the only flavor being offered.
It’s such a shame that we don’t even have the specification details for M5 Plus. However, we are free to let our imagination run wild until then.
