Huawei Honor 8 Unveiled during a recent Event in China

About three days ago, the Chinese Brand Huawei had unveiled its latest model of the Honor series during a recent event in China. Officially known as Huawei Honor 8, the smartphone is said to become available at exactly July 19. What’s more interesting is that the smartphone will come in three different variants, though news about its international release isn’t announced by the company, nor hinted in any way.

For weeks, rumors in regards to this smartphone had swarmed the internet, especially Weibo. According to rumors, the biggest feature of the Honor 8 is none other than its 12MP dual-rear camera. Its features include laser autofocus and dual-LED flash capabilities. In addition to this one, the Honor 8 is said to have a USB Type-C port and is capable of fast charging. The smartphone is revealed to be slim and features a metal frame and a glass back cover.

Taking a very good look on the inside specs, the Honor 8 has a 5.2-inch LTPS LCD touchscreen along with a 423 pixels-per-inch density. Its chipset is revealed to be a Kirin 950 octa-core that contains a clock speed of 1.8GHz each. This means that the Honor 8 is capable of doing the needed tasks and calculations with ease. And having paired with either a 3 or 4GB RAM (depending on the variant), you can be assured that the Honor 8 is capable of handling all of it without compromising its overall performance.

On the storage side, the Honor 8 could either contain a 32 or 64GB internal storage capacity; though expect that some of it is being used by the installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. If you’re not yet satisfied with that, you can expand it further by adding up to 128GB microSD card. However, be informed also that once you insert a microSD card, you can only use one slot for your SIM card. It also supports Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Infrared Sensor and 3G connectivity options.

When it comes to pricing, Huawei has revealed that the 3GB RAM/32GB variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,000), the 4GB/32GB variant at CNY 2,299 (Rs. 23,000) and the 4GB/64GB variant at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 25,000). However, we still have to wait for its international release, though.
