About a month ago, rumors about Huawei’s next smartphones, Huawei P9 and P9 Max, leaked on the internet. None of these rumors showed any proof; it’s just a mere speculation. However, someone in China, where the home company is, had given us an idea of the P9’s release date somehow.
Though bearing the same P9 Series line, P9 and P9 Max have two different dimensions, though it was speculated that the P9’s screen size will be just like the P8, which is, having a 5.2-inch screen size. But unlike the P8’s 13-megapixel camera, the cameras of the P9 will bear at least 16-megapixel resolution. As an addition, a Twitter Leak somehow showed up a picture with two distinct ‘camera cutouts’ (one labeled LTE and the other one Delux), therefore giving us a hint for a possibility that it’s going to feature a dual-camera in its rear, having employed the Honor 6 Plus dual-camera technology.
The only feature that is being repeatedly mentioned in different websites is that the P9, along with P9 Max, will include a new Kirin 950 SoC Processor. According to experts, the official Kirin 950 is an octa-core processor that is capable of operating at either 1.8 or 2.3GHz clock speed. Aside from that, it also has an always-on coprocessor. As a whole, it is expected to operate at an increased 40% performance than other Kirin chipsets, while reducing its overall battery consumption at the same time. It is also said to include a built-in fingerprint sensor.
Just like other companies, Huawei releases new smartphone models in an 11-month cycle. This year, they had launched the P8 last April, therefore making the rumored March 2016 P9 release date a possibility.
