Right at this moment of writing, MWC 2015 trade show is happening. In the said event, the Chinese giant device maker, Huawei, shined not only with its array of smartphone devices but also with its slim TalkBand B2. The band as we can see is another Android wearable that serves not only as a fitness tracker but also as a sleep tracker, stopwatch and accessory.
TalkBand B2 keeps in record the different phases of our sleep; thus, it reports an evaluation of slumber period. Further, it also follows our physical and sports activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming…etc. Since, it’s going to be exposed in sweat, liquid and dirt, Huawei has seen to it that the band is IP67-certified, rendering it resistant to water and dust.
Talking about specifications, TalkBand B2 supports both Android and iOS. Specifically, if you’re an iPhone user, you have an edge for this product over the Android handlers. It also sports a 0.73 PMOLED screen which we must say, lacks brightness to back-up our reading of diminutive characters and letters. When paired with smartphone devices, it enables phone calls. You can actually take the main component and transform it into an ear-piece.
Simple, practical and straight-forward crowd will love the no-nonsense design of the band. As we all know, accessories or fitness trackers are typically plagued with aggressively stylish designs. But Huawei’s TalkBand B2 is an exemption.
TalkBand B2 comes in two variants—the standard TPU which is priced at €169 and the premium leather band at €199. By April, it is all set to be sold in twenty-eight countries including the USA.
