More than a week ago, Kodak, the company that is very famous when it comes to manufacturing high-resolution cameras had decided to resurrect one of their well-known pre-World War 2 cameras, the Kodak Ektra. Being known for its lots of new features during that time, the resurrected Kodak Ektra is now an Android-powered smartphone with lots of different features. This is somewhat an advantage for the company since it has suffered a substantial amount of loss after its products were displaced by digital cameras.
Having a 5-inch display with 441 pixel-per-inch density, the Kodak Ektra Smartphone is powered by Android OS and features a 2.3GHz Helio X20 deca-core processor. The cores are designed in order to execute Android app processes smoothly at a maximum performance possible. And since it is named after a camera, the Ektra’s smartphone cameras are both high-resolution and offer a lot of very useful features.
Being famous for making film cameras, the Kodak Ektra is said to offer a 4K HD quality video capture. Aside from being a high-resolution camera, the Kodak Ektra is also a smartphone that features a single-SIM card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity options. It also has a 32GB storage which you can use to store your captured images (though some of it is already used by the OS itself). If you’re still not contented by this, you can easily expand your storage by inserting a microSD card. As of now, Kodak hasn’t confirmed the maximum microSD capacity, though. It is also good to know that it has a 3000mAh removable battery. Depending on the smartphone usage, the company promises its users to be able to capture images at least for a whole day without having to recharge.
As of now, the Kodak Ektra is said to be launched in United Kingdom by December at £450 starting price. In addition to that, we can all expect it to become internationally available for purchase in January next year.
