When it comes to the international scene, we only recognize tech giant names such as Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, LG and Motorola. If there are other names regarding smartphones, only a few of us even pays attention to it. However, in some countries, there are very popular local brands that actually make smartphones that can even fare with gadgets that are actually manufactured by the tech giants itself. One of these well-known local companies is none other than Meizu in China. What makes it much better is that they are actually making good smartphones and other gadgets that are actually below $200 price tag. And just recently, the Chinese brand had released one of their latest creations, the Meizu M3 Note.
Meizu M3 Note: The Company’s M-Series Third-Generation Device
Being the company’s third-generation flagship device under the M-Series banner, the M3 Note looks good, sturdy and somewhat heavy. Most experts think that it’s too good to be true, knowing that it’s a Chinese brand, which most of us thought to be somewhat sub-standard. However, what’s interesting in this company is that it never fails to amaze its critics, fans and detractors alike.
Featuring a 6.05 x 2.97 x 0.32-inch metal body, the Meizu M3 Note has a 5.5-inch display along with 403 ppi screen density. It is known to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, though we’re not sure whether it can be upgradable to 6.0 Marshmallow. What’s more interesting is that the smartphone uses a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core chipset, which is nonetheless a true octa-core processor. It also contains the company’s signature back navigation key and fingerprint sensor, though experts are quick to point out the soft and wobbly home, power and volume buttons.
The 5.5-inch IPS LCD isn’t a laughing matter, too. It’s very noticeable that its 403 ppi screen has a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution which, believe it or not, can be used to play high-definition games and watching HD movies on iFlix. Additional features include a 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (though expect that only 13+GB can be used), a 4100 mAh battery and 5MP and 13MP cameras as well.
