Chinese mobile maker, Meizu is currently on the limelight. With its twin flagships MX4 and MX4 Pro basking in the glory of their own achievements, Meizu definitely earned a share of the limelight. However, what we’re sharing is not about the two aforementioned flagships. This is about the alleged upcoming flagship—the MX5.
Based from the impressively anorexic thin bezels of the soon-to-be-previous flagships (5:3 body to display aspect ratio with 5.4-inch and 5.5-inch screens), we can expect more for MX5. And looking at the purported images, we can see a visible physical home button. Comparing this home button from MX4 Pro’s own, this one is much rounder compelling us to think that it hides a biometric sensor crucial for our fingerprint-based security feature. Yup, there’s great possibility that MX5 will have fingerprint sensor.
Since there are no available details yet, all we can do at this moment is wonder what’s beneath the hood. Hopefully, though, that Meizu would surprise us. For if this upcoming handset is limited only by what looks like another duplicate of the previous flagships, odds are against Meizu.
Meizu released MX4 and MX4 Pro just at the later part of 2014. We expect that this new model would hit the markets by September this year. Sincerely, we are crossing our fingers that the tech site that released these alleged images, cnBeta would enlighten us more with any updates soon. Or better yet, hope that the Chinese company would fill us up with details regarding MX5.
