Just two weeks ago, Motorola, which is now owned by Lenovo, had released its array of mid-range Moto G4 smartphones, namely the Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and the Moto G4 Play. However, if you think that these smartphones are just their releases this year, you’re definitely mistaken.
It’s been a short while since rumors have spread on the internet concerning the “Moto Z” lineup, which is rumored to succeed the present Moto X generation of smartphones. And the first of this generation are none other than the rumored Moto Z Style and Moto Z Play. Since many experts have pointed out that the Moto X smartphones are actually being phased out, the spreading rumors might be happening a little earlier than what is actually expected.
According to rumors, both the Moto Z Style and Z Play are speculated to have fingerprint scanners which are located at the front and interchangeable back plates. The Z Style is said to have an overall higher specification while the Z Play is the affordable version but is equipped with a more powerful rear camera. It is not yet known whether both models will use Android 6.0 Marshmallow as their primary OS or it’s going to have a company-customized Android OS just like before. However, it is revealed that the two smartphones have two different target markets, which is expected to greatly impact their market sales and influence.
Even though both smartphones have a 5.5-inch screen, the Moto Z Style will feature a Quad HD AMOLED screen. The Moto Z Play, on the other hand, will have the usual 1080p AMOLED display. The Z Style is said to have a Snapdragon 820 as its chipset while the Z Play is said to have a lower Snapdragon 625 processor. However, expect that both phones will have the 4G LTE connectivity along with a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS features.
