Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Classic: Hailed as the Best-looking Smartwatch of 2015

Smartwatches are being brought into the mainstream.  Before we could even give off a deep sigh, they would dominate especially when they have the looks, charm and function of Sammy’s Gear S2 and S2 Classic.  Particularly, Gear S2 Classic gives us the punch in the gut but in a good kind of way, mind you.

Not to be left out by the other tech giants, Samsung released what is being dubbed today as the best-looking timepiece that can perfectly do as a watch and doubled as a health monitoring unit.  Moreover, they sport Samsung Pay, an answer to Google’s Android Pay and Apple Pay.

Gear S2 and S2 Classic are both clad in classic round metal frame and glass with wild rotating bezel.  There’s a slight difference with the straps and casing, though.  Gear S2 bears the sporty silicon straps and minimalistic casing in perfect blend of dark grey, white and silver that looks both sporty and unisex. Note, folks, that S2 has rotating bezels that isn’t easily noticeable until you try twisting it.  It also sports two side buttons that doubles in function as power and navigation.

On the other hand, S2 Classic—as suggested by its name—simply looks timeless.  Elegant, classy, no-nonesense… a perfect watch to see on a business person’s wrist.  The casing and bezel are made of 361 Stainless Steel coated with sleek, dark finish.  It has a textured ring around the rotating bezel akin to a gear.

Sammy installed Tizen OS for the duo together with several apps lkeUber, CNN, eBay, WSJ, and Yelp among many.Gear S2 works with any Android phone running Kitkat 4.4 + 1.5GB RAM, though some features (including Samsung Pay) may not function without a Samsung smartphone as partner.Meanwhile, S2 Classic can utilize Samsung Pay independently.
