Sony Xperia M5 : Waterproof Innovation with 21.5MP & 13MP Snappers

Okay, we’re guilty of downplaying Sonly Xperia M5 in our title.  It is not only a waterproof smartphone but also dust-resistant and a certified IP68.  Moreover, its maker endowed it with Sony’s very own Exmor R image sensors to ensure life-like photos.

Just like its kin, the Xperia C5 Ultra, the device is bound to be released this month of August.  You can choose from three different skins: gold, black and white. Unfortunately, we still have to wait for the announcement regarding digits on its price tag.

Cool Highlights

Certified member of ‘cool’ sets that came out or will come out this year, Xperia M5’s MediatekMT6795SoC supports the latest 4G LTE connectivity.  As mentioned earlier, it is dustproof and waterproof, making it safe even submerged into fresh water for up to 1.5m.  You can plunge your phone into the water-filled sink or even clean it with tap water.  The stainless steel corners play a vital role for this feature.

Additionally, the stamina of Xperia M5’s 2600 mAh can bring your phone into life for up to 2 days.  You get 63h of sound-tripping, 8h of FHD video watching and up to 12h of talk time. Should we also mention the massive pixel density of its 5.0-inch display?  If these qualities don’t convince you yet, better inspect the specifications listed below:

Not-so-cool Factors?

We would have listed the battery since it’s non-removable but we were so overwhelmed by the promise of its STAMINA mode that we’re going to scratch this detail off the ‘cons’ list.  So there… no not-so-cool factor, after all!
