It is quite interesting to point out that the Bajaj V15’s fuel tank was made from the metal of INS Vikrant, India’s First Aircraft Carrier, hence coining the term ‘V-series’. Since it is made from the remains of the said aircraft carrier, it is expected that the V15 will be marketed as the company’s limited edition motorcycle.

Design and Engine

Featuring a Retro-modern styling that was derived from European Scrambler motorcycles; this one has a LED tail lamp and a trapezoidal 55/60W headlamp that is noticeably brighter than rival headlamps. Its fuel tank can contain up to 13 liters of gasoline while its single-cylinder engine runs at 12PS at 7500 rpm and 13Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. It is also noticeable that the rear-seat cowl can be opened by using a key. And in order to top things up, a special design insignia that was dedicated to INS Vikrant can be seen on the motorcycle’s fuel tank.

As of now, it is expected that the motorcycle will be available for sale at around March this year.
