Honda NAVI Surprises Everyone last 2016 Auto Expo

Just recently, Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India have made a joint project which, needless to say, had surprised everyone during the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The joint project, which comes by the name of Honda NAVI, really surprised everyone at just a mere glance. This, by far is the boldest creation not only in the history of both motorcycle manufacturers but also, in Indian Motorcycle History.

Unlike other standard motorcycles that tend to be somewhat large and bulky, the Honda NAVI is considerably small, just like your old-fashioned favorite scooter. However, it doesn’t mean that you can be a big bully to that little one, though. As a matter of fact, this little one features the same 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that is paired with the notorious V-Matic transmission with the same specs like in Activa. Because of its size, the moto-scooter is seven kilograms lighter compared to Activa. Needless to say, this gives you a somewhat better response while having that humble look.

Tall riders tend to look somewhat awkward when riding this little moo-scooter. However, this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t fare well with other motorcycles when it comes to performance. The truth is, one of the experts that tested this one is more than six feet tall. Despite its small appearance, the Honda NAVI is very much able to accommodate him during the ride. He also found out that the rear foot pegs are very accessible, too.

Honda NAVI’s motorcycle-inspired design also makes it more corner-friendly along with its super-light handlebar. This makes handling the moto-scooter easier than usual, which is considerably useful during a single-adventure ride. Despite being small, the Honda NAVI has a 130mm drum brakes in both wheels, a feature that is somewhat very remarkable due to its size. Aside from that fact, we all know that even big-sized motorcycles tend to have a disk brake system in front wheel and a drum brake in the rear one. This ensures that the brakes will nevertheless manage to handle driving tensions in its MRF Nylogrip Tires. In addition to that, it is also very surprising that it also comes with a brake lock feature.

The expert’s judgment in this one is, though it sure sounds like fun to ride on, the Honda NAVI remains to be more of a scooter than a motorcycle due to its Activa-inspired features. And once you compare this one to standard-sized motorcycles, it will surely lose its humble and fun factor.
