The price and specifications concerning the new 2016 Triumph Tiger Sports has been announced in United Kingdom just recently. Just like what the company promises with its new motorcycle models, the latest Tiger Sport promises to be somewhat more versatile compared than before. Aside from the fact that this one has a significantly greater mileage, torque and speed, the 2016 Triumph Tiger Sports offers its customers a more comfortable long distance ride.
Based mainly on the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple, the Tiger Sport also features the same 1050cc engine but has entirely different cylinder heads, piston design and inlet ports. Experts also found out that the free flowing silencer enhances the motorcycle’s fuel economy by eight percent due to the inclusion of its new ride-by-wire throttle feature. They also found out that the Tiger Sports has a new slip-assist clutch, adjustable screen and cruise control capabilities.
Because of the ride-by-wire throttle, the Tiger Sports now employ a traction control feature along with three different ride modes: Sport, Road and Rain Settings. Needless to say, every mode applies and features a different power delivery depending on the ride and road conditions. Powered by a 1050cc liquid-cooled, DOHC in-line three cylinder engine, the Triumph Tiger Sports runs at 125 bhp @ 9475 rpm and makes a 106 Nm torque @ 7000 rpm. This sure sound very beastly compared than the previous triumph models.
What’s more interesting with the Tiger Sports’ engine is that the company has updated its overall design and setup in order to comply with the new Euro 4 emissions testing standards. Needless to say, this three-cylinder engine now features a revised combustion chamber along with a more free-flowing exhaust. Aside from the greater fuel economy and torque, experts have found out that the throttle response is somewhat greater than ever before, therefore ensuring that you have more control in your ride, even in the worst kinds of riding conditions.
Additional features include a higher seat, self-cancelling indicator lights, a 12-volt power socket and a 20-liter fueling tank. Its touring ability features a new adjustable tinted screen along with its standard adventure hand guards. The only problem is, this motorcycle isn’t available in the Indian Market…yet.
