It’s only natural for people to become judgmental even if they really don’t know you and your own story. Due to the fact that most people’s minds tend to think negatively most of the time, they usually tend to cause trouble not only to themselves, but to those around them as well. Being independent is a very hard experience, especially if you’re a pay guest and living in a place away from the comforts of your own home.
If you’re a pay guest and are in a relationship, always make sure that you remember these simple things in order to keep yourself and your partner out of trouble:
- Get acquainted with the rules of the house where you stay. Before anything else, always make sure that you know all the possible rules that the house owner might give you. Get acquainted with the place’s curfew hours, dos and don’ts and some other rules that are in effect to maintain order. Knowing these things will definitely help you get adjusted to your environment.
- Try to avoid visits, especially night visits, from your partner as much as possible. Needless to say, sudden visits from your partner will definitely raise a commotion among the neighbors so it’s much better if you’ll just meet up somewhere, unless there’s an emergency.
- Try to avoid affectionate gestures with your partner while in the guest house. Affectionate gestures such as hugging and kissing must be avoided at all costs, especially if you’re living in someone’s house or even in your rented space. Even though doing those things isn’t their concern, always try to remember that you’re not inside your own house or apartment so doing these things are a sign of disrespect to the house owner.
A very good example to point out regarding this matter is a confession made by a certain female pay guest. According to her, there came a time when her boyfriend borrowed a book from her because they are going to have an exam the next day. As a sign of gratitude, her boyfriend had suddenly hugged her while they’re outside her Pay Guest or PG House. However, one of her neighbors had seen them doing this and had made a very big ruckus out of it, as if they’re doing something very inappropriate. Needless to say, she and her boyfriend eventually got involved into a fight because of that simple hug.
