Acura ILX 2016

Acura ILX 2016 Review, Price, Release Date

Acura has produced numerous luxury cars that have become source of pride to many handlers.  But that is not the case with Acura ILX which is a small sedan which lacks the luster of the previous high-end four wheels from its manufacturer despite being dubbed as a premium sedan.

This problem was easily remedied by Acura and now the 2016 revamped model sports stylish front and rear make-over which is both striking and pleasing to the eye.  Also, ILX now donned the Jewel Eyes multi-LED headlights.

Engine, Transmission and Mileage

According to old reports, one of the biggest issues about ILX lies under the hood.  Now that ILX had already ditched its previous 2.0L engine and 5-speed auto transmission, the model holds more than just a promise.  ILX now embraces a 2.4L four-cylinder engine that can scoop up to 201hp and 180lb-ft. torque. It’s just a tad saddening that the 2016 variant does not bear the manual transmission that the 2015 model has.  No need to mourn, though as it has paved way into an 8-speed automatic transmission you will surely love.

  • Engine : 2.4L four-cylinder
  • Transmission : 8-speed automatic, dual clutch
  • Torque : 180 lb-ft.
  • Power : 201hp
  • Top Speed : 388kmph
  • Mileage : 25mpg (city), 36mpg (highway)

Interior

Going inside the carriage, the manufacturer made an effort to put up a more up-scale design as it now sports Acura/Honda dual twin screen that exposes song information just right on the lower screen.  Downside is that the legroom permits mere 34-inch allowance for the back passengers and 38-inches headroom for the front passenger (quite confined, as you may observe).

Price

For the revamped 2016 Acura ILX, ready at least USD 35,810 which already includes destination charges.  Considering the price of 2015 model at USD 35,000 (or so) the estimated $810 difference is a sure joy.
