A Runway Model
Just like its dearly departed sibling, Elise, Romeo 4C Spider gets the fashion model anorexic weight. Yes, this speedster definitely has the curves on the design but the lightweight factor was due to the designers’ obsession of boosting the sports car’s performance. At 2,405 pounds, our two-seater gets an overweight price tag of $69,695 (as tested).
Alfa endowed their super car with a 1.7-liter turbocharged, inline-4 engine and dual-clutch automatic that can zoom from 0-60 mph in mere 4.2 seconds. Take note that without the dual-clutch, Romeo here can sprint at 5.2 sec (there’s a second difference which means great deal for authentic speed devils).
What It Lacks
Unfortunately, this babe ‘can’t have it all.’ The transmission lacks the manual option control-obsessed motoristscheck on every time. Additionally, the driving position is too uncomfortable mostly for individuals who were endowed with great frame and height. Big men may find themselves in odd posture behind the wheel and that’s something that Alfa seriously must adjust.
Bottom line for this—unless you’re a masochistic fella—2015Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is not a friendly automobile for daily commute.
