Dodge Viper ACR 2016 – Specifications, Price and Release

For the upcoming model competing under the premium sports car category, Dodge brings out its 2016 Dodge Viper ACR.  While many would not in assent of this live caricature of a supercar complete with hellish sidepipes (can really singe legs if you weren’t careful enough), let’s probe this thing and give ourselves the benefit to see the current Viper ACR under a bright light.

Viper ACR competes with Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG GT/ GT S and Audi R8.

Exterior and Interior

Okay, we can obviously see that Viper is meant to be a racer with its phallic semblance and—oh!—those sidepipes that totally personify the heat exhausted out of the nostrils of a mad dark horse all set to slaughter the racetrack in the cartoons.  It has an uber-dramatic rear wing with little details such as slats, louvers and spears all around its body.  This 2,000-pound racer is all set to rock the racing track and singe side-by-side opponents.

The interior is seen to have faux suede and the dashboard to highlight an ACR badge.  There’s also a uniquely designed steering wheel and lightweight carpeting. Surmise to say, our speedster here has been designed and created to annoy the hard-core conventional crowd.  It attracts the filthy rich or those who are included in the upper middle class.

Engine, Transmission and Price

The 8.4L V10, the very same heart of the Viper’s ancestors, beat inside the hood but there’s a new twist—different exhaust tips.  Our Viper is also more stable and less prone to the anomalous tweaks off the curb.

More importantly, our roadster here can perform 177 mph as its top speed.  Overall, its performance can be predictable (despite the neck-breaking speed) unless you do something really foolish in the process.  Hence, professionals deem that Viper should be driven by those who physically know about speed rather than its virtual equivalent in “mere” internet forums.
