For 2016, Ferrari gives us the faster, lighter and a very much limited-edition F12tdf. Mind you, folks, that behind the complicated name is Tour de France from which it was named after. There are only 799 available models around the world, so if you get one, you will be amongst the special ones.
The Core
The 6.3L V12 was engineered for a very particular reason of which Ferrari stands as the best—racing. With this beastly heart, F12tdf is able to summon drastic digits of 769 horsepower @ 8,500 rpm and 520 pound-foot of torque @ 6,750 rpm. Compared to the previous flagship, F12berlinetta, there is an increase of 40hp in power and 12 lb.-ft in torque.
Now, with the core fitted with the extremely special 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, it can send the roadster from 0-60 mph in barely 3 seconds. It can also achieve the top speed of 215 mph.
Interior
Superficial components were completely eradicated inside the F12tdf to keep it lightweight. Out with the glove box and floor mats. Even the seats were carefully given a diet of lightweight cloth and the many parts were crafted with carbon fiber materials. All of these are for the sake of carving 3,199 pounds in weight.
