Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R

Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R – Now in Higher Muscle Order

We have witnessed the fact that the Shelby GT500, which runs at 662 horsepower, had promised us that it will go above, if not over 200 mph. It didn’t turn out that way for us, as a matter of fact. Ford had promised us that they will manufacture a car with those previous specs. Most of the auto world did not pay attention to it since most of them think that it’s going to become a false promise again. However, it turned out that Ford is serious, though. And the Mustang Shelby GT350R is the living proof of that promise.

Under the Hood

Definitely replacing the ever-blundering GT500, the GT350R’s 5.2-liter, 526-hp V-8, has a different kind of arrangement compared to other cars’ V-8 engine designs. As a result, it gives out a rather different sound, along with a different kind of performance. It is noticeable that unlike Ferrari’s dual intake and single exhaust design, GT350R has a single intake and dual exhaust, along with the fact that its pistons are arranged 180 degrees out from the next one in line. The reason behind this engine design is that the company wants the car to have a single large throttle body for better engine power and packaging. As an addition, it is considerably lighter due to the fact that most parts are made from high-grade performance aluminum.
