Based mainly on the Brio hatchback platform, which is a long-time hatchback platform used by the company when designing and making new compact SUVs, experts are quick to point out that the BR-V had taken most of its design from Mobilio MPV. Once released this May, the BR-V is known to be competing with both Renault Duster facelift and Hyundai Creta.

Under the Hood

Featuring a 1.5-liter engine which either comes in petrol or diesel versions, there are two different BR-V performances, which mainly depend on the type of engine you choose. The petrol version is known to run at 117 British horsepower and 146 joules of torque, while the diesel version runs in 99 British horsepower and 200 joules of torque. As you can see, the petrol version is considerably greater when it comes to overall speed while the diesel version excels when it comes to throttle power. Both of the engine versions’ performances are tested and documented, as displayed during the BR-V’s journey in Rajasthan state. As a matter of fact, Honda is still asking its social media followers where should the BR-V be taken next.

Exterior and Interior

Having the Mobilio MPV design, the Honda BR-V’s side profile has a black plastic under its body cladding, large roof rails, large character line and 16-inch sporty alloys. In addition to that, the Indian-bound model version includes ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, Dual SRS Airbags and Vehicle Stability Assist Features.

The company has revealed that the Honda BR-V is said to be released on May 5 this year at the price of Rs. 10 – 15 Lakh.
