During the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland, Honda has amazed us with a somewhat-new version of their Honda Civic Series: the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback. Most of us are somewhat confused due to the fact that most of us are wondering whether this one is just a concept or in production version form. Either way, there’s only one thing that we know for sure. This compact car is now coming to America.
Unlike the first Honda hatchback which is exclusive for American customers, the new hatchback will be available to other continents like Europe and Asia (the company is Asian-based, after all).
Just one look and you will say that it somehow looks like a Subaru Impreza because of the styling. However, it is the best Honda design for us, in case that you’re going to ask us. With its body design that is fitted so close to the wheels combined with front mesh panels and rear fascias; you can say that this is somehow a preview of their future designs. Another thing that experts say is that this design concept will become a part of the company’s future car designs.
Under the Hood
Since this is just a concept yet, we don’t know much about this car’s engine or powertrain. However, since this is Honda Civic, better expect that the engine featured by this one will be a 2-liter turbo engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, or much better.
