It is somehow remarkable that Lamborghini, the company that’s notorious for making super and hyper-fast cars, commemorates their founder’s 100th birthday whit another hyper car, the 2017 Centenario.
During the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland, the company had honored its founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini with a hyper-fast birthday present. Needless to say, we all know that the founder is long dead. However, if he were still alive, it will be his 100th birthday right now. And this is how this car came into existence.
Under the Hood
This almost limited edition car is known to feature a V-12 engine, along with the company’s state-of-the-art engine architecture, just like the Veneno. This one is known to run at 759 horsepower with an increased rpm of 8600, compared to its predecessor’s 8500 rpm. The top speed measures up to 217 mph and has a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 2.8 seconds.
The silver gray and gold one reminds me of a futuristic concept of a flying car, along with its exhaust and overall body design. The air intakes are very noticeable, which makes the entire design having an extreme appearance. It is also noticeable that this one lacks the rear bumper, which is a noticeable trademark of the Lamborghini cars for the past few years.
