We all know that the AMG segment of Mercedes Benz is for luxury. This is why peers without capacious pockets tend to dismiss the idea of acquiring one almost immediately. Now, the titan adjusts its line-up to make one available for the middle class… the 2016 MB C450 AMG.
Exterior and Interior
The overall exterior of C450 can be best described as something modest. AMG is the posh side of MB but this model gives off minimal description of luxury despite the 3-point star emblem that adorns the over-sized mesh grille at mid-front.
As for the interior, clientele may be excited to know that C450 got crafted with comfortable and presentable cabin with synthetic MB-Tex leather seats as standard. The rear seat can accommodate two passengers comfortably and let’s a little guy sit in between. Buttons and knobs are neatly arranged for the driver’s easy access. Included among them is a fixed—albeit non-touch—display screen that provides quick rundown
The Core
Mercedes-Benz may not have endowed this little wonder with the powerful V8 but the dual-turbocharged core of a V6 produces enough power and torque to engage competition and even surpass the likes of Cadillac ATS, Audi S4 and the BMW 340i. Together with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and its four-wheel drive base, it can sprint the 0-60 mph in mere 4.5 seconds.
