The fresh look includes the perfect harmony between the squinting full-LED headlights and the grille. The SL450 trim gets the base 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 that can generate from 329 to 362hp and 354 to 369 lb.-ft. of torque. Both the SL450 and SL550 trims now accommodate 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. AMG SL63 and SL65 get the 5.5L V8 and 6.0L twin-turbocharged V12 respectively.
The non-AMG models offer Mercedes’ own curve-tilting function with Active Body Control which opposes cornering forces by tilting the body for up to 2.65° into a turn. However, choosing Active Body Control also means that you have to eliminate the Eco function from the five Drive Select modes. Instead you will be having the Curve mode. Meanwhile the AMG trims i.e. SL63 and SL65 come with a mechanical rear differential lock standard.
