Due to public demand for low-cost cars in India, Tata Motors is now doing some serious design revamps in their production cars. Their base option, the Indica eV2 will be discontinued and replaced by the upcoming Tata Tiago.
Interior and Exterior
If you’re used to Indica’s design, be informed that the Tiago will also employ the same basic shape. However, modern additions such as new radiator, hood and headlamps will now be installed along with radiator grille. Be informed also that it is also based on XO Platform, meaning that it’s going to share some of its parts with the previous range to keep the low-cost price intact.
Experts are aware that the Indica eV2 had some disadvantages when it comes to interior designing so it will be discontinued in Tata Tiago. Instead, the Tata Tiago’s interior will be inspired by the premium Tata Bolt.
Under the Hood
The Tata Tiago will be offered in both Petrol and Diesel engine versions, both of which will have the manual transmission system installed, though it is also revealed that it will also be offered in automatic.
