Volkswagen Tiguan 2017 Euro

Volkswagen Tiguan 2017 Euro-Spec will be Launched Next Summer as 2018 Model

Experts know that Volkswagen had entered the crossover-SUV market with the Tiguan somewhat, if not very late. Since its launch in 2007, about 2.8 million of these have been sold worldwide but it failed in achieving the desired market portion in the U.S. This is because of the fact that the former Tiguan Models are too expensive and lacked considerable space for American passengers, whom we all know to be somewhat bigger than usual. This is the reason why the next Tiguan that will be released next summer is said to have its wheel base design longer, which is the answer for the problems that the company has encountered in the U.S. market.

Under the Hood

Featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged and intercooled 16-valve four-cylinder engine, the 2017 Audi Tiguan runs at 180 horsepower and 236 pound-foot of torque. As we can all see, the engine is somewhat less powerful compared than the former ones aside from being heavier. However, once the necessary certificates were approved, the company also plans to offer a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine variant. It is also revealed that the European version will have the 7-speed dual clutch automatic while the American version will have the 8-speed automatic transmissions. Experts know that even though the combination is ideal for having responsive and almost silent drives, this combination lacks the necessary performance. With a maximum acceleration time of at least 7.5 seconds, this is somewhat aligned with some, if not more GTIs.

Interior

When compared in terms of throttle and handling, the 2017 Audi Tiguan is somewhat superior compared to its predecessor aside from the fact that it contains more sport when it comes to looks. It is also more advanced when it comes to its interior quality. Its ultra-modern touchscreen displays very legible letters and map details which definitely displaces other known models’ display panels.

However, the fact still remains that even though this is more marketable compared than before, only time will tell whether the latest Tiguan will get the desired target market in the long run.
