Menopause is a normal experience for normal women, which usually occurs during their late 50’s and early 60’s. Needless to say, symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings and other hormone-related issues are normally experienced by women during this time. However, there are times that normal issues become a serious one due to the fact that there are serious symptoms that women notice during this time. This can be somewhat alarming especially if they experience these things.
Listed below are the serious symptoms that some women experience during their menopausal stage:
- Intense or Heavy Bleeding – This kind of bleeding can be a somewhat serious issue, especially if women leave them unmonitored. If this is the case, you must consult your doctor.
- Depression – Just like in most situations, depression can be a killer if left unnoticed. Due to the fact that those who feel depressed often experience eating and mood issues, this can lead to a more serious problem.
- Non-stop Heart Palpitations – Having heart palpitations during this period is only normal for women in menopausal stage. However, if the heart palpitations just don’t go away, this may be an indication of a serious heart problem. If this is the case, they must consult a doctor immediately before something serious happens to them.
- High Blood Pressure – When a woman’s estrogen count decreases, her blood vessels’ flexibility is affected. If this happens, her blood pressure starts to rise more than the normal rate. In order to prevent this problem, women must attend medical check-ups and have a blood pressure check at least once every six months.
